To check your data usage the first thing to do is to go to settings then click on connections then under connections you’ll see data usage then click on it, after which you’ll see mobile data usage and wifi data usage. So you’ll click either on mobile usage or wifi usage depending on tge one you want to check. When you click on your choice either mobile usage or wifi usage you’ll see a list of all the apps using your data and how much data each has used. (Settings➡️connections➡️Data usage➡️mobile data/wifi data➡️list of data usage)
From the above images you can see the total data usage within the specified period and you can also see the apps that consumed most of the data. This can help you know which apps to use less in order not to consume much of your data.
After checking your data usage and you want to reduce your data usage you can either restrict some of the apps from running on the background by clicking on them or alternatively you click on data saver. Activating data saver will help you save your data.
If that isn’t enough you can also limit your data usage by setting a limit and also setting a warning to notify you when you are about to reach that limit. To do this click on settings➡️connections➡️data usage➡️billing cycle and data warning ➡️activate data limit and data warning.
