The man was created with attributes that would make him a successful family head. The husband desiring a happy family does well to honor and love his wife. A husband who loves and honors his wife is responsible for the spiritual and physical well being of his wife and children. He makes balanced decision that reflects godly conduct.Today some husband are dictatorial, they do not consider the opinions of their wife when making a decision. Infact in some countries wives have no say in the family ,even to ask the husband a question is seen as being disrespectful rather they are seen as a property which has been acquired by the man. A real man, I mean a loving husband who truly loves and honors his wife would never see his wife as a property or never considers her opinion when taking decisions that affects the family.
As a husband, you should be loving and compassionate towards your wife, never be harsh, unyielding and overly demanding of her as both of you have become one body one flesh. You must be mild tempered and lowly in heart. How do you react when your wife gets you angry? Do you act violently towards her? What of if there is a heated situation in the house , do you shamelessly batter words with her? A husband must cultivate a mild tempered attitude because it takes a lot of patience and humility to deal with your wife.
A good husband does not wrongly use his headship as a club to browbeat his wife rather he is humble and admits his mistakes even though the words “I’m sorry, you were right might be difficult to say. A wife will find it much easier to respect the headship of a modest and humble husband. You must know as a husband that women has fine attributes that she can use to contribute to a happy marriage and as such you must not stifle her. If you are a husband reading this, show self sacrificing love to your wife, continuously let her know you love her both in words and through your actions, also show her respect because as the saying goes ” respect is reciprocal” when you do all this you will make it easy for her to love you back, respect you and subject herself to you.

MRw I am loving this post honestly, for once let the attention be directed to the men, everytime it’s always the woman. They will say the success of the marriage is in the woman’s hand, they will say the key for the marriage to succeed is in her hand. I am tired of hearing such as if the man has no role to play in the success of the marriage
My neighbor needs not just to read this but keep it in the palms of his hand. You need to see how he maltreated his wife . When I moved newly to the place, I use to think she was a maid, the day I knew she was his wife I almost threw up. But one thing that keeps baffling me is why would the wife herself subject herself to to such treatment.

How many men really treat their wife with love and honour, abeg most women are just suffering and smile. Most are even fed up they are just there because of what will people say and because of their children.
