When asked this question , how much do you love your spouse? What would be your answer. Well , for the newly married , am sure they won’t even waste a minute before describing their love for their spouse with every romantic words. Truly loving once partner is undeniable the Rock of a marriage but how much do we love our spouse and how does this come to play when issues arises between our spouse and extended family members.

I remembered a tv programme I watched, where the  family of both couples where always interfering in their marriage, it got so bad that the couple has to seek for divorce. This could have been avoided if a couple set a limit in which family members can interfere or treat their spouse. Except when there are serious issues that can’t be handled by couples which can lead to their quitting the marriage, I believe that is only when important family members should interfere in a marriage but except from that there should be a boundary.

Never allow family members to put your love for your spouse to question, don’t create the avenue for you to decide how much you love your spouse by making your spouse and your immediate family members to know their roles in your life. Remember You and your spouse has become one and so your spouse must be considered first before taking any decision . You must not continuously please your family members to the detriment of your spouse.
