Do You Know The Cartoon Your Child Is Watching

This is a a topic I couldn’t help but write about. Months back I discussed about this with my husband and he admitted how guilty he was in this regard. I couldn’t blame him though because he works so late and hardly even have time for him self much less watching tv with the kids. Most of us parents are guilty of this, ain’t we? Most times we assume isn’t it just cartoon they are watching, just some animation isn’t it? Yeah ! So you care less and believe it’s harmless afterall there isn’t no parental control advised on it.  Watch it! Some of this cartoon can really be harmful, they are more than just an animation.

Several times I had the opportunity to sit in and watch cartoon with my kids and I couldn’t just believe my eyes, there and then I had to let them know they could not watch certain cartoons. Some of this cartoon exposes this little kids to kissing,profane words,fighting and much more. If I didn’t watch it with them I probably won’t know.

it is your duty as a parent to know what your child is watching. This days we get kids their own tv for their room, I am also guilty of that,how would you then control what they watch especially cartoon,if you don’t watch it with them at least once in a while and be able to restrict them from watching those not good for their age. Remember don’t just tell them not to watch a particular cartoon again without explaining to them the reason behind it.

The reason you must explain to your children why they  are restricted from a particular cartoon is so that they can understand that you are not punishing them but instead you are doing what is best for them so that even when you are not there,they won’t watch it knowing such cartoons are not meant for them.
