NYPD Officer Miosotis Familia is dead, she was shot in the head while on duty 12.30 am this morning. she is 48 years old and a mother of three who has been a veteran in the force for 12 years. The sad incident happened while Sitting in a police vehicle as she was one of the cops assigned to keep New Yorkers safe!
NYPD had referred to the incident as an unprovoked attack on cops protecting NY neighborhood. The suspect Alexander Bonds who was on parole for 2013 robbery walked up to Miosotis and shot her, he was immediately confronted by the officers but he brought out a gun but was shot and killed by the officers. A passer-by was also hit by a bullet but it’s been confirmed that he is in a stable condition.
According to NYPD a silver revolver was retrieved from the scene and investigation is ongoing to know the motive behind this sad incident. Our prayers is with Miosotis family ,may they find the fortitude to bear this great loss.
